PUNTA GORDA, Fla. - One of two suspects wanted in connection with an incident where a Charlotte County deputy was struck by a pickup truck turned himself in Tuesday afternoon.

33-year-old Jeffrey Dean May of Punta Gorda was a passenger in a fleeing pickup that hit a deputy on January 16th.  The deputy was treated and released.

May is charged with felony aggravated batteron on a law enforcement officer.

Detectives are still looking for the driver of the pickup, 22-year-old Hunter Bruce Morrison of Punta Gorda.  He was behind the wheel of the truck last Wednesday night when he sped away from deputies who were trying to serve a warrant at his home.  A tip led investigators to the pickup the following night in a ditch in Charlotte Ranchettes.

If anyone has information of Morrison please call detective Richard Nix at the Major Crimes Unit at (941) 639-2101 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
