Suspects sought after using stolen debit card

By Barry Miller. CREATED Dec 29, 2012

FORT MYERS, Fla.---Two females did quite a bit of early Christmas shopping at a local CVS store, however their $500 in purchases were charged to a card that didn’t belong to them.

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two black women, caught on video, using a credit card stolen earlier in the day.

According to detectives, the victim was at the Valero Gas Station on Bayshore Road North on December 18, purchasing gas and then coffee inside the store.  However, when she left her car, she also left her wallet with her driver license and debit card inside.  Later in the day, the victim went to make a purchase with her debit card, only to find the card and her license missing.  Upon the discovery, she went online and checked her bank account, when she discovered nearly $500 in fraudulent purchases at a CVS store, located just a short distance from the gas station.

Detectives were able to retrieve video of the two women who made excessive purchases with the stolen debit card.  Now, they just need names to put with the faces, and are hopeful the public can help.  Upon their identification and arrest, both women face felony charges of burglary and grand theft.

Anyone with information on the two black females in the attached photos is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
