PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - A man suspected of stealing two iPhones from a Port Charlotte AT&T store was arrested Wednesday during a traffic stop.

20-year-old Kriston Kayson Douglas of Miami Gardens is charged stealing the two phones valued at $1,300.

Investigators allege that Douglas took the phones which triggered an alert to all AT&T stores in Southwest Florida.  A short time later it's believed the same man tried to steal a phone from the AT&T store in Cape Coral on Pine Island Road. The man left the store and got into a black Infinity G37 and left the area.

Then later that afternoon another report came from an AT&T store in Naples of an attempted theft of some iPhones.  The suspect left in a car matching the one in the Cape Coral incident.

Collier County deputies made a traffic stop on the Infinity; the driver was 26-year-old Dermar Okealo Hamilton and his passenger was Douglas. Hamilton was arrested for possession of marijuana and taken into custody.  Douglas was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. When deputies searched the car they found five I-Phones, and the clothing Douglas was wearing at all three AT&T stores. Two of the phones matched IMEI numbers that were stolen from the Port Charlotte store.

Douglas was returned to Punta Gorda on the August warrant and remains in the Charlotte County Jail on $15,000 bond.
