PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County detectives made two arrests in connection with four recent home burglaries in Port Charlotte.

31-year-old James Arthur Chachere and 22-year-old Andrew James Schramm are both charged with burglary and grand theft.

The two Port Charlotte men are accused of ransacking four different homes stealing thousands of dollars of art, jewelry, home electronics and even beer.  The burglaries occurred between October 5 and November 4.

Detectives developed a suspect, Chachere, and obtained a search warrant of his Meehan Avenue home. They located large amounts of women’s jewelry, jewelry boxes, tools, and electronic items which were all seized.
