Rick Scott Takes Grandson to Vote
NAPLES, Fla. -- Florida Governor Rick Scott is giving an early lesson on democracy to his new grandson.
Gov. Scott turned out before 8 a.m. to vote at his polling location in Naples, but he didn't show up alone.
Scott brought his grandson, Auguste with his wife Ann to cast his ballot Tuesday morning.
Scott was not on the ballot this November, but his decision not to get involved with a request to extend Florida's shorter early voting period this election made headlines across the country.
Many had argued the decision to reduce the early voting period from two weeks to one week created longer lines, even though the number of hours for early voting did not change from the previous election.
