LEE COUNTY, Fla. - July 24th - 55 year old Debra Striano found in the master bedroom of her San Carlos Park with her throat slashed.  Her live in boyfriend of ten years, Russell Myers came home after running errands that night and says he couldn't believe his eyes.

"The crime scene itself was brutality ten times," said Myers.

One suspect in the case, 23 year old Dustin Jaye has been arrested in connection with Striano's murder and his uncle, the second suspect Billy Ray Retherford remains on the loose. Today, we talked to both suspects family members.

"But I still can't see them, can't see the 2 doing something liek that to somebody," said Jaye's sister and Retherford's neice Ashley Jaye.

But detectives say otherwise.  According to this probable cause affadavit, both Jaye and Retherford targeted the home because they learned "that there was supposed to be a substantial amount of money at the victim's residence."

Detectives describe both men as hardened criminals who have done several stints in jail.  But Fox 4 has learned Myers knew suspect Dustin Jaye's sister and mother.  In fact, a few weeks back Myers says he drove Jaye and his sister to the hospital.  Myers claims he didnt have a good feeling about Jaye.

"I never really liked the look in his eye as far as that goes," said Myers.

Retherford's neices say they haven't seen him since the day of the murder.

"When you saw him last Tuesday, what was he doing - what was he saying?," asked Fox 4 Reporter John Rupolo.

"Nothing just his normal self," said Alison Jaye.

We talked to one neighbor in Suncoast Estates in Fort Myers where Jaye and Retherford ilved who says he has known the two for years.

"I'm not shocked a bit," said one neighbor.

Retherford is five foot eight, 205 pounds.  He has a tattoo of "Michelle"  on the right arm and the name "Bradlee" on the left ankle.
