Ultimate Spartan Challenge to Benefit Ele's Place

LANSING- Ele’s Place, a healing center for grieving children, is partnering with Jackson National LifeInsurance to launch The Ultimate Spartan Challenge.  This online fundraiser is co-chaired by Becky Dantonio, Tim Staudt, Duane Vernon, and Kellie Dean. 

Challengers sign up at www.ultimatespartan.com to create an online profile demonstrating why they are the Ultimate Spartan, and compete for online votes. Each vote is a $5.00 donation to Ele’s Place.  25 Ultimate Spartans will receive exclusive prizes, such as MSU football suite tickets.
The TOP Ultimate Spartan will receive:


  • Tickets to the DANTONIO FOOTBALL SUITE and two halftime sideline passes for the MSU vs. Eastern Michigan football game on September 22.
  • Two VIP passes to an MSU Football Practice and tour of the MSU Skandalaris Football Center
  • Four tickets to the ULTIMATE SPARTAN catered pre-game Tailgate, presented by Jackson
    National Life, at the MSU vs. Eastern Michigan game on September 22
  • An ULTIMATE SPARTAN T-shirt and bragging rights for one year!

Every challenger who gets at least 20 votes will receive an Ultimate Spartan T-shirt.  Voting ends

Ele’s Place is a community based nonprofit dedicated to creating awareness of and support for grieving children and their families.  Through peer support groups, Ele’s Place helps children, ages 3-18, learn how to cope with the death or life-threatening illness of a family member or friend.  Each week over 200 grieving children, teens and their families attend peer support programs at no cost. Ele’s Place also provides support groups in schools and serves as a resource and referral agency for anyone who wants to help a grieving child.
