More Artists Announced For Common Ground 2014
Lansing, Mich. – Common Ground Music Festival, presented by Miller Lite, has added more to the 2014 festival lineup.
Julia Sheer, Hugh Bob & the Hustle, and Chelsey Danfield will be joining the country music lineup on Thursday, July 10th featuring Justin Moore, David Nail and Gord Bamford and Jacob Powell.
Friday evening, July 11th features Big Sean, Juicy J, Ace Hood, Machine Gun Kelly, Chevy Woods, Berner, Tay Rhodes, cyRus, L Soul, Ill Natured, Hitman with DJ Klaverflav, and James Gardin.
The already impressive lineup for Saturday, July 12th now includes Jukebox The Ghost and The People’s Temple, along with Fitz and the Tantrums, Dr. Dog, Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr, The Orwells, X Ambassadors, Royal Teeth, and Chappo.
Sunday, July 13th, the Robert Glasper Experiment, Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers, AHSAN, and Dee Hibbert & Company will join Earth Wind & Fire, with more artists to come!
Returning on Saturday, July 12th is the FREE Matinee Show presented by Sparrow! This year’s family friendly matinee includes performances by Ryan Beatty and Action Item. This is a FREE show, open to the general public, with an optional VIP upgrade for those interested in an exclusive Meet & Greet with both bands.

Lansing, Mich. – –Common Ground Music Festival, presented by Miller Lite is pleased to announce its final headliners for the 2014 Festival lineup--Big Sean, Fitz and The Tantrums, and Earth, Wind and Fire.
On Friday, July 11th rap super star and Detroit native Big Sean will headline on the Auto Value Main Stage. After exploding onto the rap scene in 2007, the last 2 years have been extremely successful for the ‘hottest rookie’ (GQ Magazine), including winning ‘Best New Artist’ at the 2012 BET Awards. As a double Grammy nominee for his collaboration with Kany West, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz, this rapper’s debut album titled ‘Finally Famous’ has come to fruition. Joining Big Sean on Friday is rapper Juicy J. Founding member of Three 6 Mafia, Juicy J is working on his latest solo album The Hustle Continues. His two-decade run in the hip-hop industry has led to this moment where he strives to bridge the gap between old and new fans under one trippy umbrella. Most recently featured in Katy Perry’s single “Dark Horse”, his more than impressive list of collaborators include Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj, Young Jeezy, Justin Timberlake and many more!
Headlining on the Auto Value Main Stage on Saturday, July 12th is indie pop group Fitz and The Tantrums. A chart-topping, show-stopping modern pop combo unlike any other is responsible for songs like the impossibly catchy “Out Of My League”. From the studio to the stage, Fitz and The Tantrums give everything they have to anything they do, leaving it all on the floor night in and night out. The artistic audaciousness and pure pop punch, More Than Just A Dream fully confirms that Fitz and The Tantrums are here to stay. Joining them on Saturday, July 12th is the following; Dr Dog, Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr, The Orwells, X Ambassadors, Royal Teeth and Chappo, with more to come!
Bringing a little bit of R&B, Soul, and Jazz to the Festival on Sunday, July 13th is critically acclaimed legends Earth, Wind & Fire. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have a long list of accolades including 5 American Music Awards, 6 Grammy Awards, two inductions into the Grammy Hall of Fame; one for album “That’s the Way of the World” and one for single “Shining Star”. They will bring the sounds of their legendary songs like “September”, “Shining Star”, “Sing a Song” and “Let’s Groove” to the Auto Value Main Stage for the final night of the 15th annual Common Ground Music Festival.
Also joining the lineup on Wednesday, July 9th; Ben Kenney, The Weeks, and Squirrel Shaped Fish, and on Thursday, July 10th; Jacob Powell.
