Annual Easter Egg Hunt At The Capitol
LANSING, MI--Get ready to fill those Easter baskets; the Lansing Jaycees have done it again!
The chapter's annual East Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 19th from 10am until noon on the law of the State Capitol, 100 N. Capitol Ave., Lansing. The Easter Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 11am.
No matter if you are young or old; all are welcome to take part in the 2014 Easter Egg Hunt on the Capitol Lawn event this spring.
There will be two hunt areas, for age groups: 0-4 years, and 5 and up. Adults must accompany their children to the event but are not allowed in the 5 and up hunt areas. The Hunt is more of a scramble and is over extremely quickly. Egg Hunters should be there before 11am so they don't miss out. For those who are not interested in hunting, there will also be crafts, face painting, games and more.
"The Lansing Jaycees have been hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for the Lansing community for more than 60 years now, and we are proud to keep that tradition alive today. This is one of our biggest projects, and we look forward to it every year," said Charlie Root, 86th President of the Lansing Jaycees.
Special guest appearances will be made by the Easter Bunny, Crash the Clown, Click It the Cricket, Penalty Fox, and furry friends from Potter Park Zoo. The Lansing Fire Department will have a fire engine on site for children to explore.
Attendees can purchase raffle tickets on the day of the event to win Easter baskets and other great prizes. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit future Lansing Jaycee community projects.
