Minnesota House Approves Same-Sex Marriage
Same-sex marriage is one step closer to becoming a reality in Minnesota.
State senators passed the Gay Marriage Bill by a vote of 37 to 30, just days after the House passed the bill on a 75 to 59 vote. Governor Mark Dayton has promised to sign the bill. Aides say he will likely sign it Tuesday during a ceremony on the front steps of the Capitol, making Minnesota the twelfth state to allow same-sex marriage.
