.1K Race Fundraiser to Fight Leukemia

By Jane Sugiyama. CREATED Jul 16, 2014

When you think of running or walking a race, the numbers 5K and 10K typically come to mind. Not this time.

Mason is hosting it's annual .1K run, walk, crawl, trot race on Sunday, July 27th at the Courthouse Pub & Grill. Yes, that is approximately 328 feet that you will be "racing."

Organizers wanted to host an event where everyone could be involved without limitation. No matter what your age or ability level, you can join in on the fun! All proceeds from the race will go to providing assistance to local area cancer patients and their families to help them focus on the fight against cancer.

The race begins at 1:00PM and there will be awards for the most dramatic finish, most creative race, best costume and more!

Participants may register before race day at the Courthouse Pub & Grill. Or, you can also mail registration forms and payment to:

The Andy Minshall/Heather Allen Leukemia Fund
111 E. Elm Street
Mason, MI 48854

Registration on race day begins at 12:00PM.

Entry fee is $25 per adult and $10 per child. Each entry includes a t-shirt.

This is just one of the many events held to raise money for the Andy Minshall/Heather Allen Fund. Other fundraisers include Euchre Tournaments, the Annual Leuko-Freaks Golf Outing and a car wash which is held at the Courthouse Pub & Grill in Mason.

To download the registration form or to get more information about Leuko-Freaks visit their Facebook and, or the event page.
