Red Wings Community Tour Stops in Lansing

Detroit, MI--The Detroit Red Wings held the fifth annual MI Wings Community Tour presented by ITC Holdings Corp. Three groups of Red Wings players were scheduled to stop at a military base, children's hospital, police training academy, U.S. Coast Guard station and two elementary schools throughout the state en route to training camp in Traverse City on Tuesday, September 10. All six stops of the tour were closed to the public.


The Michigan State Police Training Academy was the stop for the central leg of the tour. Pavel Datsyuk, Jonathon Ericsson and Niklas Kronwall met with 66 recruits at the Police Academy, and then put their driving skills to the test at the Precision Driving Facility.
