Kids Duct-Taped Their Principal

Paragon Academy in Jackson rewarded reading in an unusual way.   The school's principal was duct-taped at a school assembly and taken outside for all the parents to see as they picked their kids up from school Thursday.

The principal says it was embarrassing, but worth it for all the reading the students completed. "Literacy is one of the main components of a good education, and at our school we'll do anything to support reading , we dedicate a whole month to it, we have different prizes throughout the course of the week... gave away bikes, kindles, all kinds of neat things to promote reading.

Students needed to read at least 300,000 minutes to duct tape the principal. They exceeded that goal by almost 100-thousand.
