Man fatally shoots ex-wife, new boyfriend while attending high school reunion
A gunman walked in to a high school reunion and shot his ex-wife and her new boyfriend in East Peoria, Ill., on June 14. An off-duty FBI agent fatally shot the ex-husband to prevent other innocent victims from being killed.
"Lori A. Moore, 33, of Morton was pronounced dead at 9:16 p.m. at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, according to Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll," reports the Peoria Journal-Star. "Moore had a gunshot wound to the head, the coroner said."
"The man who was transported to the hospital was pronounced dead at 9:39 p.m., also from an apparent gunshot wound to the head," further reports the Peoria Journal-Star. Moore's boyfriend has since been identified as Peoria resident Lance Griffel, 36.
According to the Peoria Journal-Star, "Moore filed for a divorce from Jason A. Moore in Peoria County in March 2013, according to court records. The dissolution of marriage and parenting agreement were final in May 2013."
Jason Moore opened fire around 8 p.m. at the packed Fifth Quarter Sports Bar and Pizzaria. Peoria Police are reviewing bar surveillance video as well as currently interviewing close friends and family of the shooter and victims in their continuing investigation.
