Lady Gaga's Thanksgiving special lays a goose egg
Lady Gaga is known for big concert crowds and attracting attention with her crazy antics at awards shows. Apparently, that wasn't enough to entice people to watch her Thanksgiving special.
According to Entertainment Weekly, her 90-minute special "Lady Gaga & The Muppets Holiday Spectacular" on ABC was a major flop.
The show only drew 3.5 million viewers among adults ages 18 to 49. "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving," which aired before Lady Gaga's show, drew 5.3 million viewers.
It's not exactly known why the show was such a flop. There were plenty of special guests including Sir Elton John, RuPaul, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Maybe people are simply over her. According to Rolling Stone, her new album "Artpop" took an 82 percent sales nosedive in its second week.
It could have been the lack of Fozzie Bear. According to EW writer Maricela Gonzalez, his lack of screen time was "unacceptable."
Gonzalez also remarked upon the obvious lack of chemistry between Lady Gaga and Kermit.
Gaga's special last year did much better. 5.4 million viewers tuned in for "A Very Gaga Thanksgiving."
